What it means
甲 gap is the graph likened to a great tree growing straight.
It is the first of the ten heavenly stems and belongs to the yang aspect of wood.
It governs beginning and reaching outward.
It would break before it bends, so the will is upright and the drive strong, but a direction once set is hard to change.

A road once chosen is walked to its end.
Unbending, and so at times it seems hard.
When the pace of others is matched, it grows tall.
